The Company You Keep
I received this in an email several weeks ago, and as I was deleting some older emails, I came across this in my box. This writing summarizes what has been occuring these last several months with my so called circle of associates. Why is it when you pursue a business or a dream, you receive negativity from those who you thought were your friends? It’s true. Just read and relate – especially if you are positive person who has received negativiity while going for your goals.
The Company You Keep…
It Is Better To Be Alone, Than In The Wrong Company.
Tell me who your best friends are, and I will tell you who you are.
If you run with wolves, you will learn how to howl.
But, if you associate with eagles, you will learn how to soar to great heights.
A mirror reflects a man’s face, but what he is really like is shown by the
kind of friends he chooses. The simple but true fact of life is that you
become like those with whom you closely associate for the good and the bad.
The less you associate with some people, the more your life will improve.
Any time you tolerate mediocrity in others, it increases your mediocrity.
An important attribute in successful people is their impatience with
negative thinking and negative acting people. As you grow, your associates will change.
Some of your friends will not want you to go on.
They will want you to stay where they are.
Friends that don’t help you climb will want you to crawl.
Your friends will stretch your vision or choke your dream.
Those that don’t increase you will eventually decrease you.
Consider This
Never receive counsel from unproductive people.
Never discuss your problems with someone incapable of contributing
to the solution, because those who never succeed themselves are
always first to tell you how.
Not everyone has a right to speak into your life.
You are certain to get the worst of the bargain when you exchange ideas with
the wrong person.
Don’t follow anyone who’s not going anywhere.
With some people you spend an evening: with others you invest it.
Be careful where you stop to inquire for directions along the road of life.
Wise is the person who fortifies his life with the right friendships. Happy moments, Praise God
Difficult moments, Seek God
Quiet moments, Worship God
Painful moments, Trust God
Every moment, Thank God If you see people without a smile today, give them one of yours.
Choose to rise…Don’t settle…and go for your dreams!!!
And most of all let God lead you in everything you do.

Hmm.. who are your friends?
As I am a group owner on a popular mommy website, today I started deleting many members who haven’t contributed infomation to our very valuable group. Now it has me thinking…should I do the same for my personal life? Well, I have decided – YES. I am ’deleting’ my so called friends who do not contribute anything valuable in my life. “Being too busy” is not a good enough reason to lose contact with those you care about.
Plus, I’m busy too! I have three sons – my two oldest have homework every single night; they play sports and last I checked, they eat dinner too so that means someone has to cook! My husband is extremely busy being super Nerd (scientist) and creating secret poisons (i mean potions). I work full time, take care of a very needy 7-month old, and own my own business. I literally get 4-5 hours of sleep a day! I still manage to call those I care about.. although I call them when I am in traffic.. but still, I CALL.
Therefore, as I have done in my on-line group, I have also done in my personal life… eliminated those who don’t contribute to my world. Although that means I have no friends left.. that’s fine with me. My sister and husband have always been my very best friends anyways.

It really is a small world
Separated-at-birth twins get married
LONDON (AFP) – Twins who were separated at birth and adopted by different sets of parents later married each other without realising they were brother and sister, a peer has told the House of Lords.
The bill is designed to make it easier for lesbian and gay couples to have children through assisted reproduction, recognising same-sex partners as legal parents of babies conceived through donated sperm, eggs or embryos.
But it contains no provision to require the identity of the donor to be disclosed, potentially meaning a child could not be told they were conceived by assisted reproduction.
Alton raised the case of the married twins — who were born after IVF treatment — during a debate on December 10, details of which only appeared on Friday.
“There are implications for everybody involved, but the needs of the child will always be paramount, and it is right that we should therefore make the process as transparent as possible,” Alton told the Lords.
IVF — which increases the chances of multiple births — meant such cases could become more common if the law does not require children to be told they were donor conceived and have access to their genetic history, he said.
“The right of children to know the identity of their biological parents is a human right,” he added Friday.
“There will be more cases like this if children are not given access to the truth. The needs of the child must always be paramount.”
The identities of the twins and details of their relationship and marriage have been kept secret, but it was known they were separated soon after birth and never told they were twins.
They only discovered they were blood relatives after the wedding.

Is it too late to send out Holiday cards?
I’ve been really busy.. I mean BUSY. I send out cards each year with a photo of my sons included. I wanted to send out a card this year with a picture of our new addition to the family – third baby boy. But, it is now January 5th. Can I still send out Holiday cards? Does it count in my favor that our Christmas tree is still up?
Maybe I can send out ”Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day” cards….

1st Review: Only seems right to be my own product!

I’m introducing a new line for Mommies! (some photos on the website will change soon to make the words more legible in those photos).
We mommies have hard jobs.. Hands down, it’s the hardest job in the world. We’re on call 24 hrs a day, we multi-task, invent, prepare edible meals, plan days -every day, take our children around the world, run the household, work, manage bills, maintain the home… name it, we do it.
Sooo… why is that others feel that they can give us their opinions?? Hello?? Did you not just hear that list I ran off.. and then on top of that, I have to listen to your opinion?? I don’t think so.
Therefore, I created a line for mommies to remind everyone.. My Baby, My Rules – it’s just that simple!

Christmas – over in less than 10 minutes
How many of you spent several hundreds of dollars on gifts for your children? Um, I did. I waited until the last minute (as usual) to shop. Yep, I was one of the several million people shopping Dec. 23rd and 24th.
And let me also just say, my tree didn’t go up until Dec. 23rd. I’ve never put my tree up THAT late before! It’s been busy around here – I have no other excuses!
Back to shopping…
So I shopped and shopped… for my three sons, parents, nephews, sister and husband. The one highlight of my shopping experience… I tracked down a Wii!!! woo hooo! Too bad I needed TWO Wii’s instead of just one.
Anyways.. all of those dollars gone.. on gifts that I saw on sale for 40% off in today’s paper. Can you believe that? I seriously thought about putting the gifts back in the boxes, returning them and getting 40% of my money back.
Now, it’s the day after Christmas… and it amazes me that Christmas was yesterday. Why does it seem like it was two weeks ago?
Oh, I know why! My kids opened their presents in less than 10 minutes and that was it. Hundreds and hundreds of dollars gone in less than 10 minutes. Wow.
